Rohtas Fort is a historical landmark located in the northern region of Punjab, Pakistan. It was built in the 16th century by the Afghan king Sher Shah Suri to prevent the Mughal emperor Humayun from recapturing the region. The fort is located in the district of Jhelum, about 8 kilometres southwest of the town of Dina.

Rohtas Fort is a remarkable example of military architecture from the 16th century, and its walls extend over four kilometres in circumference, rising up to a height of 18 meters at some points. The fort has 12 gates, including the famous Sohail Gate, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful entrances in the world.

The fort has numerous buildings and structures, including the Haveli Man Singh, which was built for a Mughal governor of the region, and the Shahi Mosque, which is an impressive structure with beautiful frescoes and calligraphy. The fort also contains a baoli, or stepwell, which was used to collect and store rainwater.

Rohtas Fort was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, and it continues to attract visitors from all over the world who come to marvel at its architectural splendour and learn about its rich history. The fort is open to visitors every day of the week, and there are guided tours available for those who wish to learn more about its history and significance.
